DPSI TWIN Mini

The DPSI TWIN Mini was developed supplementary to the DPSI TWIN. Requests for more channels and usage as a standalone version inspired for this consequent enhancement. The DPSI TWIN Mini allows for "diversity" operation with receivers you trust. This means: no compromises in selecting the receivers and therefore totally independence from manufacturers. Two receivers are to be connected to the DPSI TWIN Mini. If a malfunction or interference for one receiver is encountered, it is switched over to the other receiver. All servos still function. Switching time is that short, that a pilot even does not realize it. All modulation modes such as PPM, PCM, PCM1024, SPCM or IPD can be used with no limitation. Due to switching of up to 16 channels, Futaba G3 receivers and future receiver types with more channels are usable. With that, the DPSI TWIN Mini is ready for the future. Operation is possible without elaborated programming work. If the transmitter or modulation mode is capable of detecting failsafe conditions, just programming the failsafe option in the transmitter is in order. Of course, the failsafe parameters of the DPSI TWIN Mini can be programmed (PC software for programming is available via download).

Powerful LiPo includes regulator with magnetically actuator and charging cable (DPSI Micro - MPS RV). Electronically power switch from 4.5 volts up to 24 volts with magnetically actuator and charging cable (DPSI Micro - MPS). Remote control switch (ignition switch) with and without voltage regulation, programmable switch threshold, protection against total discharge and failsafe operation (DPSI Micro - RCS (RV)). All wrapped into high grade housing. No more safety possible!

DPSI BMS (Battery Monitoring System)

Based on the many demands for a display system similar to the DPSI BIC for the larger battery switches or dual power supplies, we developed the DPSI BMS (Battery Information System). For the first time, all relevant data of the power supply can be read off a LC-display such as battery voltages, currents, capacities etc. The DPSI BMS is applicable for all battery switches and it has two galvanically separated (!) measuring channels for currents up to 20 amps and voltages of up to 16 volts. The DPSI BMS is simply put in between the battery switch and both batteries. Turning on or off is fully automated as soon as the receiver set is turned on or off respectively. Please find more information in our flyer in DOWNLOADS - PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS.

DPSI OCP (OverCurrentProtector)

EMCOTEC presents a worldwide novelty: the DPSI OCP (OverCurrentProtector). This is an electronically overload protection as well as a protection against the “Dynamo Effect“ of high performance servos. Here, the DPSI OCP is simply put in between a current source (e.g. receiver) and a consumer (e.g. servo).

Electronically protection:
For the first time, blocking or defective servos do not lead to short currents, which can empty batteries or damage cables and connectors (e.g. cable fire). The DPSI OCP “Over Current Protector“ interrupts the current flow in case of exceeding a maximum threshold and therefore protects the whole system. Especially for LiPo voltage regulators, which only provide limited current due to their thermal load capability, the DPSI OCP can be life saver. Blocking landing gear doors, shorts in wires, blocking drives in pumps: the maximum allowable current in the system is never exceeded. Even breakdowns due to low dimensioned heat sinks of so called "Powerweichen" are not to be feared because of current limiting. Current sensing is done by a modern micro controller. For monitoring of the maximum current, blink codes of a LED are displayed. The system is self learning, i.e. the highest current of the consumer is remembered automatically. Thus, even small servos with low currents can be monitored safely.

Protection against the Dynamo Effect:
The DPSI OCP filters, besides other things, voltage peaks from high performance servos caused by the dynamo effect (feedback of servo voltage) and inhibits dangerous glitches reaching the receiver or other components. Here, no voltage drops occur, i.e. the servo is still provided full voltage!

Short-Circuit-Proof and available in several versions:
The DPSI OCP is short-circuit-proof and carries a constant load of 8 amps. Two versions cover each application: a JR-version for servos of up to 7 volts supply voltage and a MPX-version for consumers of up to 12.6 volts (3S LiPo batteries). The JR-version is also available as quintet device.

Filter Capacitor

The EMCOTEC Filter Capacitor is connected to a free servo output of the receiver and assures that voltage peaks are eliminated which could disturbe the receiver. Some powerful digital servos produce extremely high voltage peaks under load, which, under some circumstances, can cause a system crash of the micro controller in the receiver or even damage the receiver. The built-in capacitors of the receivers often are not able to filter these interfering voltages due to their small form factor. Even the generous capacities in the DPSI systems do not suffice in certain cases. The EMCOTEC Filter Capacitor protects the receiver from high voltage peaks and is just mounted to the model using the accompanying clamp. Even short drop outs of the voltage are effectively suppressed. The Filter Capacitor is certainly a useful enhancement which raises the safety in the receiver set - regardless whether using a battery switch (combiner) or not.

DPSI 2001 RV - Dual Power Servo Interface (Regulated Voltage)

The most successful power supply system of its kind, the DPSI 2001, has undergone a thorough facelift. Many customers wish for an in-between size dual battery supply between a DPSI RV and the DPSI RV Mini allowing for LiPo batteries were fulfilled. All approved functions of the DPSI RV family were taken over. The new system comes with a regulated output voltage of 5.9V for servos and receiver and as a specialty additional outputs with the unregulated output voltage in order to connect servos with higher voltage. 10 receiver channels are distributed to 26 servo outputs. In case, 10 channels do not suffice, additional servos can be connected to the receiver directly. In summary, 46 capacitors care for a clean filtering of the supply voltage and avoid effectively the influence of high performance digital servos to the receiver (keyword: "peak voltages through feedback of the servo counter electromotive force"). Optically and acoustically low voltage warnings as well as programmable battery types are obligatory. Furthermore, the DPSI 2001 RV comes with its proven HF-radio interference suppression and the electronically high load switches. Included in delivery is the switch transmitter as well as all accessory parts.

DPSI BIC

The DPSI BIC is the first power supply concept which, besides a battery switching function and a “low drop out” voltage regulation, also contains a LC-display, which provides the user with information about the state of his equipment. The DPSI BIC displays all important measured values in plain text. Besides the battery voltages and the current flow of the connected loads the withdrawn capacity and on-time are displayed. Rough running push-rods or defective servos can be diagnosed by increased current consumption. Reduced battery capacity or defectiveness of the batteries are also detected in time. An acoustically error indication makes sure, that the user does not miss any malfunction. Different battery types can be programmed to ensure correct voltage monitoring. The intelligent algorithm evaluates discharged batteries reliably.

DPSI LR - LongGo Regulator

The Longgo Regulator is suitable for receiver sets in smaller models (motorized, gliders, electric models, helicopters, etc.). It entails an electric (and thus a failsafe) on/off switch according to the proven DPSI principle and a voltage regulator that produces a stabilized output voltage from a variable input voltage of 6.0 volts to 8.4 volts. With a size of just about 1.5" x 2.6" x 0.4" (38 x 65 x 10 mm) and a weight of only approx. 1.225 oz (35 grams), even Lithium-Polymer batteries can now also be used for the receiver sets (or ignition system).

HF TWIN - transmission on 35MHz and 40 MHz

Double HF modules for MC-24 transmitter. Simultaneous transmission on 2 frequency bands (35MHz and 40 MHz)! If experiencing channel disturbances, flight continues on the other band when used in conjunction with the DPSI TWIN. Compliance to all radio transmission guidelines. Complete redundancy of the total receiver set is guaranteed for the first time. Even radio interference and channel double occupancy do not cause a crash of the valuable model. Only available for Graupner MC-24 transmitter.

Also available for 35MHz & 72MHz as well as for 40MHz & 72MHz !

DPSI TWIN - two receivers with automatic switching for Failsafe

The TWIN version is based on the DPSI RV and enables complete redundancy by using two receivers, which can be automatically switched between, at your option (depending on signal quality). This means that for the first time the entire receiver set is doubly secured. A failsafe signal of the receiver is used to switch over to the second receiver in case of a failure. Thus a total of 8 channels are completely switched over and distributed to 25 servo outputs. For the first time, ALL servos can continue to be controlled in the event of a receiver failure.
The system is therefore also suitable as a teacher-student system or as a "pilot backup". A second pilot (or "student") can take over the entire model along with all control functions using his own transmitter by means of deliberate switching (or due to interference).

DPSI RV - Regulated Voltage

The new generation: Double power supply with controlled and programmable output voltage for servos and receivers. The DPSI RV versions control the variable input voltage of batteries with a rated voltage of 6.0 volts to 8.4 volts to a stabilized output voltage, which the user can easily select in four steps. Intelligent voltage monitoring, up to 32 servos from 12 receiver channels, pulse amplification, HF anti-jamming, electronic switch and much, much more, all packed into an attractive housing - these are the foundation of the new DPSI RV system. Two different sizes and three designs cover the entire spectrum of model flight.
